Celebration of Public Service Day

Public Service day was celebrated at Santiniketan Public School on 23 June 2019. The importance of this day is to make the children realize the contribution of public services in the development process, recognize the dedication of public servants and encourage them to pursue careers in Public Service.

In order to raise awareness of Public Service careers and teach children about the important roles of Public Service, students were taken to the police station, to the nearby traffic beat and to the Municipal office at Veerapandi, Theni Dt. Students discussed and debated on the topics “what makes a good public servant?” and “what are the characteristics of good public servant?”.

Our students honoured the people, who are in service with badges inscribed with words “YOU ARE A HERO”, “WE APPRECIATE YOU” ,“OUR HEARTFELT GRATITUDE ”,. They also distributed sweets and snacks to show their thankfulness towards the hard work and contribution of the people in service.
