International Picnic Day was celebrated at Santiniketan Public School on 18 June 2019. It was the most awaited day for the children and the whole place was brimming with happiness.

The lower grade children were taken to a nearby farm at Upparpatti. The farm was green with vegetation and the fragrance of the blossoms filled the air. The students were extremely exhilarated and kept singing in the bus till they reached the venue. Kids were allowed to play their games and they played few games like “Blind Fold” and “Passing the bucket”.

Every child was given an opportunity to participate and to have fun. They shared their snacks with their friends and were very much thrilled to eat out in the open air with their Friends. Students were also allowed to pick fruits and with all gladness they picked gooseberries and chickoos. Students returned to school by 4.00 pm and showed interest to revisit the place once again. Indeed, it was a fun packed experience for both the teachers and the students, as it strengthened their bond.
