Public Service Day was celebrated at Santiniketan Public School on 23 June 2019. The importance of this day is to make the children realize the contribution of Public Service in the development process, recognize the contribution of public servants and to encourage them to pursue careers in public service.

In order to raise awareness of Public service careers and to teach children about the important roles of public service, students were taken to the police station and to Municipal office at Veerapandi, Then (Dist.). Students discussed and debated on the topics “what makes a good public servant?”

Students honored the people, who are in service, with badges inscribed with words “you are a Hero”, “We appreciate you” ,“our heartfelt gratitude”,. They also distributed sweets of snacks, to show their gratitude towards the hard work and contributions of the people in service.
