SEXUAL HARASSMENT:

A general body meeting was conducted to set up a Sexual Harassment Committee in Santiniketan Public School. It was unanimously decided to conduct many awareness programme to curb the Sexual Harassment faced by the student. Many videos which described the various steps that should be taken was shown to the students, suggestions given by the parents are also included to develop the committee. Sensitive topics like child abuse, good touch and bad touch etc were taught to the children through speech and seminar.

POCSO Committee:

The school encourages the development of POCSO Committee. The main goal of this is to prevent discrimination and sexual harassment against children by promoting gender amity among students and employees. There were hazard identification and inspections in the workplace. Many short films were also shown to the children to create awareness amongst them. Competition like posters making, notice writing, poem writing etc about the relevant topic was conducted and displayed on the notice board. Children were taught about their personal safety.

GRIEVANCE COMMITTEE:

Santiniketan Public School has formed a Grievance Committee to address the Grievance problems and complaints of the students. The cell intended to find solutions for the complaints regarding classroom teaching, classroom management etc. Few complain boxes were placed in and around the building so that they can drop the issues in the box. It is a ready to and ready to help criteria that aids students to feel better in their school atmosphere.
